Module 2 focuses on several essential sales skills and concepts that every business owner needs to understand and develop skill with, as well as diving into the real reasons why they are so effective – the key role of the subconscious mind in sales.

Module 2 Part 4
Assignments:
- Make list of benefits vs features if you don’t already have that, and even if you do!
- Rapport – in your conversations this week, practice having your focus on rapport. Notice when it’s present and when it’s not. Practicing “stepping into” rapport with people, by being grounded and connected with yourself and having the intent to be with them, in their world, as yourself. Come up with some language to regain it when you think you may have lost it, using the example in Video 2.3 as a starting place.
- Questions: Come up with 3-5 (or more) clarifying questions that you could ask a typical new client or customer of yours, that will help you more fully understand who they are and what they truly want, and will leave them feeling heard, respected, valued, and cared for.
- Have at least three “sales conversations” – the primary purpose of these conversations is PRACTICE to build skill, and if they also result in a new client or sale, all the better, but that is not the primary purpose or focus at this time. This is about building new skills. These conversations can be a call or in person, they can be true sales conversations for your business, or something else like asking for a donation for a cause you value (that is also in essence a sales conversation), and they can certainly be a practice conversation with your buddy.
- Don't take it too seriously, have fun and play with it!
- Then you can go to the Soulful Sales Code
Week 2 post in the Soulful Sales Code Facebook group, and in the comments put your answers to these three questions (or write them down for yourself if not on Facebook):
- What's one feature of your offering, and what are all the benefits to your clients that that feature provides?
- Look for yourself, how does it show up for you when you are in rapport with someone vs when you aren't? Does it feel differently in your body? Do you have disruptive thoughts or emotions when you lose rapport? What's something you noticed?
- What's a question you ask clients that you find really helps you get clear on what matters to them?
